We have an emotional response to the way something feels.  Whether in a favorite article of clothing, or a plush throw blanket, we seek texture that brings comfort. Every item and surface in a space possesses visual or tactile texture.  We work mindfully to ensure various textures are combined, creating a pleasing and cohesive result.

 

Color

 Colors are dynamic.

Innately, we gravitate to colors that

make us feel good.  Choosing the right combination determines how objects in a space will interact with each other.  We explore the mood you want to achieve and the objects you want to highlight. We are mindful to choose the palette that’s just right for you.

Harmony 

 Harmony is defined as an agreement among parts.  When harmony is achieved in an interior space, it feels comfortable and at ease. 

This is the way you want to feel in your home.  We are mindful to consistently relate the varied elements of  an interior, ensuring that harmony is achieved.

 

 

  

 

How We Work 


 
Lisa Moore particularly enjoys working with special things that her clients have collected during their life, believing they reveal a great deal about the client, while providing inspiration for the interior design process.

We pay particular attention to getting to know our clients, their lifestyles and work styles, incorporating their personal needs, interests, and tastes into proposed designs. We strive to educate our clients about the process we follow and the design choices we make.  It is our goal to make the design process as easy, pleasant, timely and appealing as possible.  It is our desire to create and execute design solutions that are beautiful and timeless. 

In order to achieve the overall success of each project, we have designed a three-step plan:

Step One

The Consultation
During this phase we meet together at your home or project site and begin discussing your likes, dislikes, budget and an overall vision of what is to be achieved. This initial meeting takes one to two hours and at this time design solutions are not provided. It is during this initial meeting that we take notes, photos and measurements. This information provides the parameters that will influence the direction in which the project will progress. Follow up meetings will be held at your convenience to further clarify and fine-tune details.

Step Two
The Presentation 
We understand being comfortable and enjoying a room that reflects your taste and lifestyle makes it easier to relax and enjoy your home. During this stage of the design process is where the client is most involved. We offer and discuss specific design solutions based on our initial meeting and carefully review paints, finishes, furniture, furniture placement, fabrics, drapery treatments and/or any other custom items needed to add to and complete the overall design scheme.

Your project will become much more clear and defined at this time.  If at any time during the presentation you do not like or are unsure of a specific design decision, we will address it and propose an alternate solution.  After all design concepts are agreed upon, the ordering process begins. It is during this time that you can rest, relax and allow us to do what we do best.

 

Step Three

The Installation
During this phase we will obtain competitive bids from subcontractors needed to complete your project. Together, we will devise a critical path and help schedule work to be completed in as timely a manner as possible. We work with subcontractors on site to answer questions and clarify details during the installation phase. This results in superb detailing through thoughtful design.  
Clients are encouraged to be involved as much or as little as they wish. It is our goal that these phases execute a well thought out methodical plan that relieves the client of added stress or burden. Please keep in mind, we are honest, open, efficient, and most of all: flexible.  

Our three part design process was designed and developed with the client in mind and is intended to simplify your design project.  Mindful Design is committed to completing projects on time and on budget because we believe that a satisfied client is the ultimate reward.
